This video is from a few years ago, probably from around 2013, but it has surfaced on the internet again. The video features Syrian soldier, Mustafa Shaddoud, who is seen stepping out in the middle of a street that was just the scene of a battle. Shaddoud attempts to speak with the other side, who are FSA soldiers/rebels to try to bring peace to the battle. He is seen putting down his rifle and actually walking over to meet with their commander and speak to them.
At the time, Shaddoud was actually a Colonel in the Syrian Army but we can confirm that shortly after the video he actually died in combat. Sometime in July 2013, Shaddoud was shot and ended up in intensive care where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
