Keychains can be a lot of things to a lot of people but most of them are basically fashion statements or something sentimental. However, there are ways you can spice up your key ring by adding a tactical keychain. One of these will give you some handy tools that can help you out in a pinch. Check them out!

Gerber Mullet

The Gerber Mullet is a fan favorite amongst the staff here. Not sure how Gerber settled on the name, but they definitely put a lot of thought into the product. It includes a nail puller, scraper, pry bar, wire cutter, bottle opener, cross driver, hex driver, large flathead driver and a small flathead driver. Not bad for a tool that is 3 inches long and weighs just 0.7 ounces!

CRKT K.E.R.T

The CRKT K.E.R.T has the fewest tool options out of all the keychains on this list but that’s because this isn’t designed as an everyday carry item like the others. K.E.R.T actually stands for Keyring Emergency Rescue Tool and as a result the focus is on the following tools: seat belt cutter, flat head driver, ¼-inch hex head driver and a 02 wrench. The most impressive feature was the seatbelt cutter, which is easily one of the best I’ve ever seen let alone on a keychain!

Kershaw PT 2

The Kershaw PT 2 is one of the larger keychains on this list coming in at 3.25 inches in length. However, it packs several tools including a can opener, bottle opener, wire scraper, 3 hex drivers, small Philips head driver, and a flathead driver. I really like the G10 grips on this tool which make it much easier to handle and of course more effective.

5.11 Tactical EDT Tool

5.11 Tactical is easily one of the favorite brands around here, we simply love their produces (not an endorsement!). The 5.11 Tactical EDT Tool is no different and we like it a lot of its size coming in at just 2.83 inches in length. It packs seven tool options including a wire stripper, pry bard, ruler, bottle opener, 3 hex drivers and 2 flat head drivers.

Gerber Dime

Ok I am definitely cheating on this one as the Gerber Dime is obviously a multi-tool. However, the Gerber Dime is one of the smallest multi-tools around and it can easily fit on a keychain without issues. This thing includes pliers, knife, file, tweezers, scissors, bottle opener, wire cutter, flathead driver, package opener, and a crosshead driver. This gives it the most tools on the list and the size isn’t too much bigger than the largest one on this list.

Enjoy!
